Since hitting neighborhood variety stores the 1953 Bowman baseball cards (both color and black & white sets) have ranked among the finest cards ever offered. The high quality photographs were uncluttered by even player name on the front of the cards. In addition, clean, information-filled backs made these little pasteboards irresistible!

The passage of sixty-five years, however, has inserted the age/cost factor to the equation: Original 1953 Bowmans are now expensive in top condition. The solution: High quality reprints, of which these two complete team sets represent all cards issued for the team.

A size bonus: Besides being high quality reprints, these cards are near-standard 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" size (at 2-5/16" by 3-1/2") so they fit easily in 9-pocket collector sheets. (Original '53 Bowmans are slightly larger at 2-1/2" by 3-3/4".)
