Condition:                 Medium tonal image, sharp and clean, some light rubbing, mount shows light soiling, beveled gilt edges/corners    lightly bumped, mount made with light bow. 

 

Other:                        Handsome early view of the interior of Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris.

 

Moise Leon & Issac Levy (or Isaac Levy) joined for a very successful, long running partnership as publishers of photographs from 1860s through the early 1900s.  During the 1860s & 1870s Auguste Bisson and Eduard Welling were two of the photographers who provided images from the Egypt and the Nile region.  They were the official photographers for the 1867 Exposition Universal in Paris.
