Featured is a vintage 1940's Era Ohio-Kentucky Manufacturing Co. First Baseman Mitt. Ohio-Kentucky 048 mastermade mitt. This mitt includes the original packaging (box). The glove is in amazing like new condition.
- Additional Features: OK MFG Co.: Founded in 1933 by William Sonnett, this company initially manufactured inflatable sporting goods like basketballs and footballs in Covington, Kentucky, before relocating to Ada, Ohio, in 1938. In Ada, they expanded to produce leather baseball gloves. A flood in 1937 severely impacted the company. In 1954, Wilson Sporting Goods purchased the company, but the name and workers remained the same for a time. Sonnett retired in 1956, and his son took over. The Ada factory is still used by Wilson today to produce footballs.
