The 383rd Rifle Division (383rd Miner Rifle Division, 383rd Donbass Volunteer Division, 383rd Rifle Division) is a formation (rifle division) of the Red Army of the Armed Forces of the USSR. The 383rd Rifle Division was formed on August 18, 1941, mainly from miners of the Donbass. Because of this, the division was called "Miner's". The division, together with other units and formations, fought defensive battles for Donbass and held the front on the Mius. The division also participated in battles from Stalingrad to Berlin and was awarded the Order of Suvorov 2nd degree and the Order of the Red Banner. In the active army, periods 08.10.1941 - 01.09.1944, 19.10.1944 - 09.05.1945. Full name of the division, at the end of the war: 383rd Feodosia-Brandenburg Red Banner, Order of Suvorov Rifle Division.
