There are many versions of the Shoemaker hand signed or engraved by G Cortese. This is by far one the most detailed I have seen. From the parts on the desk to the crack in the shoe this is a rare piece that alot of time and care was put into. The wrinkles on the cobblers face, to toes, his clothes and much more were carefully thoughtfully crafted as if this was the only one produced. Compare this to others online and it will seem as if this Shoemaker also known as #63 in the Cobbler series was the only one produced or produced for someone very special. Absolutely spectacular piece of art and while this particular Cobbler is not rare by G Cortese, this particular sure is.

Considering the age of the piece and again all the tiny details these are nothing in comparison to what you will receive. The thread does appear to have been broken going from each hand. It could have been meant to look like that but I don't believe that is the case. Also the bowl on the table appears to have had a brush in it. The handle has broken and the mixer in the bowl has a 4 way crack again so much detail i missed this the first few look overs. Lastly the brush on the back right hand corner of the table also appears the handle has broken.
