The Dutch series of 'Russische Prentenboeken' was initiated directly after the exhibition of these children's books at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam in 1929.
The Dutch issues were the first to appear outside the USSR!

due to that it is assumed that of this hardcover luxury edition not more than 1,000 copies were printed)
