About the Author:

Zhao Qing, born in 1960 in Xi’an, is a Chinese calligrapher known by the pen name Zhenyi and the studio name Master of Yunyu Xuan. He has devoted himself to the art of calligraphy for over forty years. His style is wild and expressive, resembling chaotic clouds in motion, with dynamic energy flowing through every character and stroke, powerfully conveying the emotional depth and soul-stirring beauty of Chinese calligraphy. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers Association and a council member of the Shaanxi Calligraphers Association. His works have received numerous honors, including a Silver Award at the First National Calligraphy Exhibition and a Gold Award at the Western China Calligraphy Exhibition for Young and Middle-aged Artists. His calligraphy has been published in major national newspapers and magazines, and featured in collections such as Selected Works of Famous Chinese Calligraphers and Painters, Western Artists, Encyclopedia of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters, and Selected Works of Shaanxi Masters. His published books include Selected Calligraphy Works of Zhao Qing and The Art of Zhao Qing’s Calligraphy.
