Lucas Silver King Antique Bicycle Lamp c.1910 – Birmingham – Oil Lamp

This is a beautiful example of an antique Lucas Silver King bicycle lamp, made in Birmingham around 1910. A stunning piece of early cycling history with loads of antique charm.

The lamp features green and red side lenses and still has its original burner in place. The piece shows surface wear, patina, and age-related marks as expected, and the silver coating has largely worn away — all clearly visible in the photos.

Notably, the back cap appears to have been replaced at some point with a decorative silver component, stamped “800,” indicating it is 800-grade silver. This gives it a unique and characterful touch.

There is a dent to the front rim, but it doesn’t detract too much from the overall look. Ideal for display or for collectors of early cycling memorabilia and antique lighting.
