Here is an old black and white photo of a group of kids in costumes gathered outside of their 3-story schoolhouse.  The teacher is standing up by the flag in the photo.  On the back is written: American Flag Drill A. Fox - at Flag.  Exeter Twp. 1923 - 24.  The students have some interesting looking costumes on.  This school building is no longer used as a school and is on Rt. 422 in Baumstown, PA.  Baumstown is located in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.  It is all part of the Exeter School District now. Arling Fox was a schoolteacher in several schools in the area for many years.  The photo is nice and clear.  The cardboard frame it is in has some rough spots around the edges and corners and is coming unglued at the bottom edge.  Great for the local historian.  If you like old photographs and ephemera, please check out my EBay store and the other old photos I have listed.  Many different subjects, time periods and places!  I mail all my old photos in envelopes with cardboard to keep them from being bent.  I do combine postage whenever possible. Thank you!
