Periodically we experience problems with our scanner. Today is one of those days. Depending upon which view you choose, the scan may show horizontal lines, wavy lines and/or cross hatching marks. Rest assured, these are NOT on the cards.

1982 BASEBALL LEGENDS  ~ SERIES 3

Issued by Cramer Sports Promotions - forerunner of Pacific Trading Cards

Entrepreneur Mike Cramer, who went on to compete at the highest levels of baseball card production through his company Pacific Trading Cards, got his start in the 1970s. This series from his BASEBALL LEGENDS was among his first projects - at that time under his first company, Cramer Sports Promotions. (Read all about Mike and his baseball card empire in his book CRAMER'S CHOICE.)

SERIES THREE: The 30 cards offered here are part of a 124 card set consisting of four 30-card series plus 4 additional single cards which came on the bottom of retail boxes in 1986. Cards measure the modern standard size (2-1/2" X 3-1/2") and feature quality sepia photos with fine write-ups and statistics, ranking them with the better All-Time Greats sets.

All 30 cards have been scanned and since we have just one series to sell, these are the actual cards the buyer will receive. Twenty-three of the 30 players pictured are members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

THE LAST SCAN: Pictures all-time baseball great Ted Williams with The Baseball Hobbyist's Steve Mitchell at a 1983 Connecticut sports collectors gathering - Ted's very first-ever collector event. On the second day of the show "The Splendid Splinter" visited with collectors and dealers and graciously posed for this photo.
