This poster was a public invitation to attend a truly history event--the Summer Solstice Celebration in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Park Polo field. The thousands that participated heard The Grateful Dead, The Mad River, Big Brother and the Holding Company, the Black Swan and other bands at various places around the park. Photographers and moviemakers were everywhere. At day's end many walked down to the ocean for the sunset, and others bedded down to wait for dawn.
