The chili
pepper (or locally known as the chili pepper or the Karen chili pepper) is a
small chili pepper that is commonly found in hot and humid regions such as the
northern and western regions of Thailand. It is very spicy and is often used in
many traditional Thai dishes such as Kaeng Som, Kaeng Phed, and Tom Yum.
The
distinctive feature of the chili pepper is that it is smaller and sometimes has
a long and shaped like a pine tree tip (hence the name "Chili
pepper"). It has a very hot and spicy flavor, so it should be used with
caution in cooking.
In addition
to its spicy flavor, the chili pepper also has health benefits such as helping
to stimulate blood circulation and help burn fat. However, it may irritate some
people who are allergic or have an intestinal problem.
