DISCOVER AFRICA COUNTING CARDS - Teaching Resource KS1

A set of counting cards illustrated in colour with positive African images to use as a starting point for lots of activities and enable you to teach the children to count to 10 in Swahili.

Cards measure 14 x 20 cms and are laminated.

Images are as follows:

1 Map of Africa - one big continent;

2 elephants;

3 kente cloths;

4 lions;

5  boabab trees;

 6 dancers;

 7 clay pots;

 8 drums;

9 pineapples;

10 flags.

A pronunciation guide is included and suggestions for using each card as a starting point for exciting activities to help you and the children discover aspects of Africa are given. There is also some background information for teachers.
