YAMAHA BBP34 (Vintage White)

The BBP34 is a Made in Japan flagship 4-string model that has evolved and renewed the traditional BB silhouette!

Based on the concept of "the strongest bolt-on passive" with an eye on the modern music scene, it is a Made in Japan flagship renewal model that brings together the know-how of numerous technical research and product development, is produced by skilled craftsmen, and is delivered from a domestic factory with the high quality that only Yamaha can offer by combining the latest technology, unique structure, and craftsmanship.

The body of this model, which is the successor to the BB2000 series, has been redesigned to a smaller body shape while maintaining the previous silhouette, and uses a laminated body with a three-layer structure of alder/maple/alder wood sandwiched between them, making it stronger, more durable, and producing a punchy, crisp sound. In addition, it has been treated with the unique technology "I.R.A." that promotes the vibration of the instrument, increasing the sound transmission and vibration efficiency of the wood itself, promoting the extension of mid-low range components, and accelerating the rise and decay of high range components, resulting in a smooth and deep sound.
The neck is a 5-piece laminated neck made of maple and mahogany, which has been refined to have a slimmer grip shape compared to the BB2000 series, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. The head shape has also been changed to a smart size to match the smaller body shape, and lightweight pegs are used to maintain optimal body balance, giving the instrument a slimmer silhouette and a better fit.

The neck joint is a 6-bolt miter joint used in the ATTITUDE LTD III (Billy Sheehan model), which drives the bolts at a 45-degree angle toward the neck to create a stronger bond between the neck and body for a powerful sound. It is equipped with a miter stringing bridge that passes the strings through the back of the body at a 45-degree angle from the bridge saddle, which reduces string stress while firmly transmitting string vibrations to the body, and the unique design technology structure further improves the rich sound of the instrument.

The newly designed pickup was tested with over 100 prototypes during the development stage on the new BB, and after trial and error with the wire, magnet, rotation speed, and bobbin shape, it is equipped with a high-grade Alnico 5 magnet PJ pickup that can produce vintage tones while improving output. The cylindrical pole piece is used to reduce noise, and the pickup cover has a generic design and can be customized to your liking. The control section has been changed from a pickup selector to a 2 volume/1 tone specification, allowing fine adjustment of the balance of each pickup.

This model has a balance that fits the modern music scene with the technical structure and manufacturing method cultivated in models from the BB2000 series onwards, a powerful sound character with a deep and rich sound, and a balance that fits the modern music scene. It has a warm low range of the passive bass, a mid range that sends a smooth and solid sound image, a clear but calm high range, and a wide range but straight sound, and has been further brushed up to provide high performance.
Introducing a Made in Japan flagship model that is aimed at a wider range of players, with performance that fully demonstrates Yamaha's passion for instrument manufacturing, careful finishing, and attention to detail, but at a significantly lower price than before!
