The Canon CL-241XL ink cartridge supplies the Pixma MG2120 and MG3120 all in one units, compact home and small office inkjets that print, copy, and scan from a small desktop footprint. Canon builds the printhead into the cartridge on this platform, so each replacement brings a fresh nozzle array with it and a clogged or worn head is resolved by fitting a new supply rather than servicing the machine. Three ink chambers share the single housing and feed a common head, and the XL variant carries a larger ink charge than the standard part for these models. Installation is a push into the carriage until the lid latch clicks, after which the printer runs a short alignment routine before the first page. Canon's nozzle design places small droplets closely together, which suits photographs and graphics on photo stock as well as everyday text and forms on plain paper.
