Die Kaltlichtquelle verfügt über ein solides Metallgehäuse und einem stabilen Tragegriff an der Oberseite. Als Lichtquelle kommt ein Standard 13,8 V  Halogenleuchtmittel mit Reflektor Spiegel zum Einsatz. Im Moment eingebaut ist ein 50W Leuchtmittel, bis 85W möglich. Leicht zugängliches Lampenhaus für einfachen Wechsel der Halogenlampe.
