Johnson, "American collectors should be aware that infantry sets sold by US distributors in the 1950s and 1960s (such as William Bussler in Massachusetts, Willard Snyder in Philadelphia, Valley Stream and Polk’s Hobby in New York) had fewer figures in the painted infantry sets: 18 if all foot, 17 if including a mounted officer. They were often painted to a higher standard."
