This switch is an interchange for Mopar OEM P/N 1343998 and is suitable for various Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge, and Plymouth cars and light trucks from 1953 through 1962. It ensures the vehicle can only be started when the automatic transmission is in Neutral or Park.
