Three pieces of highly unique hand-made, original folk art pottery, Inuit ceramic (keramik) pieces featuring a polar bear, a laughing Inuit woman and ghosts. Includes a small vase, and two small trinket bowls. Thick, primitive, rustic, simply charming pottery. All marked on back Narssak (now more commonly spelled Narsaq, for the town in southern Greenland where they were made -- located about 27 miles from the Narsarsuaq Air Base, decommissioned in 1959). A truly one-of-a-kind find.

These were part of an estate from an airman who was based at Narsarssuaq (Narsarsuaq) Air Base, also known as Bluie West One in Greenland from 1952-54. (See photo with paper for provenance; HAND-WRITTEN NOTES NOT INCLUDED. If interested, see my store for an ephemera auction from the same estate, and other porcelain items listed separately.)
