Two rare plates from 1950s Greenland. Part of an estate of an air force member stationed at Narsarssuaq Air Base, Greenland from 1952-1954, also known as "
Bluie West One." (Hand-written notes for provenance only;

Includes two hand-painted small decorator plates. The smaller one, featuring icebergs, was made by
Bing & Grøndahl (which later merged with Royal Copenhagen), dated 1954 on reverse with the B&G mark 28A, Gronland and the artist's initials. The other one has icebergs and villagers watching a plane in flight and reads "Narssarssuaq Greenland, 1954" and the artist's initials on front and "Handmalet Danmark" on the reverse.
