Used with a UV filter, the IR filter can be used to take pictures of the UV clouds, enabling you to create beautiful photos of the clouds of Venus. It can also be used to take near-infrared images of the moon and planets. The IR850nm near-infrared filter is more of a mysterious term than other filters.
