Yakut is a handmade knife made of X12F1  stainless steel.

Advantages of Х12Ф1 steel:

The high chromium content provides Х12Ф1 steel with very good corrosion resistance, close to stainless steels. In addition to the presence of the classic alloying elements for knives, such as vanadium and manganese, Х12Ф1 also contains silicon, which provides increased wear resistance and increases the strength, stability and reliability of the alloy. All this allows to achieve high performance characteristics close to carbon steels, which are mainly used to make puukko finishes, but at the same time provide increased corrosion resistance of the blade.
