There was a time in this country when this 5-cent stamp was common place for mailing a letter or a bill. Now this  George Washington stamp is a vintage collector's item or a conversation piece to tell your grandchildren about.

As a side note,  I found that this particular stamp, unlike others in its time period, seems to fade as it ages. So, if you buy several of these stamps,  you may notice some color differences. It appears this is solely due to the aging process.

This stamp is in mint condition and has never been hinged. The gum backing is intact and in original untouched condition.
