These are tickets with the stubs removed for the special exhibition game tribute to famous German keeper Sepp Maier. They are very large, measuring 4" x 6". Maier is considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of soccer. He was the keeper when Germany won the world cup in 1974 and was selected to four world cups with Germany. While with Bayern Munich, he won 4 Bundesliga championships and the the European Cup three years in a row. He was voted footballer of the year three times and played an amazing 422 consecutive matches, still a German record. The game was held June 3, 1980 in the Munich Olympic Stadium and was between Bayern Munich and the West German National Team. Maier played one half with each team. Tons of greats played in the game as Bayern was a powerhouse at the time and had several players that normally played with the National team. Included in the lineups were Breitner, Uli and Dieter Hoeness, Horsmann, Durnberger, Kapellmann, Augenthaler, Schwarzenbeck, Bonhof, Rummenigge, Matthaus, Hans Muller, Stielike, Dietz, Forster, Immel, etc. PHOTOS 5 & 6 Newspaper articles from the Dusseldorf game and a bit on Maier (in German). They will be shipped folded. PHOTO 7: PHOTOS Photos of the Munich Olympic stadium taken at the two games mentioned above. They are photos of the inside of the stadium before the games had started. Many are similar PHOTO 8: PENNANTS. Both are double sided and are identical on the reverse. BAYERN MUNICH PENNANTS: I bought this pennant at a game in Munich during the 1979/80 season. As you can see by the list of trophies on it, it does not include the 1980 League Champions which dates the pennant. It is made of a vinyl type of material with string fringe around it. There is a metal chain at the top for hanging it and a metal bar through the top. It is 16" long not including the chain and 11" wide at the top. FORTUNA DUSSELDORF PENNANT: It is a heavier vinyl type material and is ex/mint except for a tack hole in the top border. It is double sided with each side being identical It measures 7" across the top not including the string and is 10 1/2' long. PHOTOS 9 & 10. BAYERN MUNICH SCARVES Photo 9: I got one of these in the early 1980's and the other late 1980's/early 1990's. The longer one is 53" not including the tassels/fringe on each end. They are both a little dirty and could be washed. Photo 10: A newer one then the other two. It is double sided. Also longer then the other two. PHOTOS 11 & 12: Three postcards. The largest one is 5 3/4" x 8 1/4". It has the players listed on the back. There is no year on it but it appears to be from the 1970's. It includes Maier, Rummenigge, Breitner, Hoeness, Augentheier, Niedermayer, etc. The other two are of the Munich Olympic Stadium. No year on them either but I bought them in 1980 The shipping will vary depending on where you live and include tracking. Check out my other items! |
