≪What is QSS (Quick Shift System)≫

This system attaches a shift switch to the shift change link and allows quick upshifts without releasing the clutch.

When the shift switch detects an upshift operation, the ECU calculates the engine output momentarily and cancels the drive torque of the engaged gears to support the upshift.

This system was originally developed for racing because it allows you to shift without releasing the accelerator or releasing the clutch, but since it can also reduce fatigue on public roads, its adoption is spreading to commercial cars.

This product for tracers incorporates the following specifications in consideration of convenience for use on public roads.

It operates only when three conditions are met: speed is 20km/h or higher, engine rotation is 2300rpm or higher, and the engine is accelerating.

Operates only during upshift operation. It does not support downshifting.

It will not operate while the clutch is squeezed.

Starting with the MT-09 Tracer (2017 model), the ECU and meter are compatible and pre-wiring is provided to connect the switch so that this switch can be installed as a retrofit option.

【Note】It cannot be installed on MT-09 Tracer (2015/2016 models) or XSR900 (2016/2017 models).
