I decided to start a record collection in 1969. I already had a bunch of records I had bought before then but they were in pretty bad condition, all the covers worn and the sound had some skips and generally scratchy sounding from being handled wrong and played on lousy record players and equipment. When I decided to start my collection I was the only one that could handle the albums and wanted to keep each album in new condition. Like no fingerprints or scratches would be allowed and I was the only one that could handle them. To keep the sleeves new looking I would keep them in clear plastic. I feel this gives the buyer a guarantee that they will get a beautiful copy of the record and enjoy the album as if it was new.
