1997
Extremely Fine
(Sold CA9621165). Has had some circulation so contains light folds, there is no heavy creasing, free from nicks & is still very firm.
( ( CA5327134 Has some surface wrinkles & some light vertical folds in the centre, also one to the bottom left & one to the top right corners. It is free from creases, pin holes & graffiti. All the edges & corners are sharp & free from nicks or tears.
soldCA3397645. Contains small wrinkles over most of the surface, there are a few light counting marks on either side & a vertical light crease in the center.
CA4364031. Has most of the surface covered in very fine wrinkles. On either side there are very fine counting marks.

1997 Very Fine.
All are nice firm crisp notes with sharp corners, there are no nicks, tares or graffiti. They all have general surface folds & some creasing from being in circulation. see each individual serial number for any extra details.

CA6894045 This note has three vertical, medium to heavy creases, They are not breaking the print, it also has slight rounding to the corners. This note has not been in circulation for long as the greater part of the surface is still free from the normal wrinkles. It contains about six folds running across the note in different directions. there is a light crease to the bottom left corner, it has not broken the print. The paper is still very firm & free from graffiti or holes. The corners & edges are sharp and free from nicks or tears.
All 1997 grade Fine sold at present
(Sold CA5996854). There is some softness from being in circulation but no tares or nicks & free from any graffiti. The complete surface has fine wrinkles & creases, also a number of heavier folds but none are excessive.
(Sold CA3084156). has been in circulation so there is some softness because of fine wrinkles & creases. There are also a number of heavier folds & the right edge has some nicks.

1999 Extremely Fine All notes are without any nicks or tares, they are firm & crisp with sharp corners & graffiti free. See under each serial number for extra details where required.
. CC3951031. This note also has a vertical bend in centre & light fold marks across both top & bottom left corners.
. CC3951030. Some of the paper surface has fine wrinkles, they are mainly to the top right & there is also a vertical centre bend, which also contains wrinkles.
. CC6037486, See description above, there are also some wrinkles along the top edge & an extremely light vertical bend to the right side with two counting flicks. The left bottom corner has a couple of light folds. CD0214336. Contains 3 to 4 vertical folds vertically & some extremely light handling marks to the right. There is no nicks, tears or graffiti & it is still very firm. CC3951032. CC3951033, CC3951034. These notes contain a vertical fold in the centre, there are also some wrinkles along this bend. There are also a few bend marks especially to some of the corners.
CC2711022. Very light counting marks to the right also a couple of vertical light creases in centre & a crease in the bottom left corner.
CC3102006. CC3102007. both a vertical & horizontal crease in the centre, there is also a star like crease to the right of center, we think this has been made with a teller counting the notes & using a water sponge to dampen their finger.
CC5043010. Contains light wrinkles & a light vertical fold in the centre. CC6374889, CC8808794. Very light counting marks to the right & light vertical creases in the centre.

1999 Very Fine
all are free from nicks or tares, are firm, crisp notes with sharp corners, they have fine wrinkles from being in circulation, see under serial number for any more added details.
(SOLD CC4922260). Has fine surface wrinkles, some folds. there are no heavy creases.
CB6948987. The right side is virtually UNC but from the centre left there is counting marks & light creasing over most of the surface.
CB8269919. Light creasing & waviness mainly to the left of the note, there is a heavy fold vertically to the right, it does not seem to have broken the surface.
CB9506916. As described above with the addition of some counting flicks to the right side & a couple of folds across the bottom left corner. CC0163123. As the description above. The note also contains a vertical & a horizontal fold. CC0171035. As the description above, with a couple of extremely light counting flicks to the left. CC0908310 As described above, it also contains some vertical folds & some running across the top right corner, also one to the bottom left. There is also a very light ATM ink mark to the top right edge. CC1731406. As the description above. CC1735984. See description above. To the top right edge there is an ATM ink mark also the corner contains a fold. The bottom right corner has a crease & a tiny approximate 1mm nick. CC2037994. See description above, it also contains a number of folds running at angles across both sides but none are heavy. There are no creases. CC2108384, the description above, The note also contains a tiny nick out of the bottom left corner, a vertical fold in the centre & also a number of counting flicks/folds to either side. CC2251669. Check the description above, it also has an ATM ink mark to the top right edge, with the most of it showing on the reverse. The bottom left corner has a fold across it & a teller has left a light counting pinch mark in the centre of Fergusons portrait. CC2263552. As described above. There is also an ATM ink mark to the top right edge, also in the centre a vertical fold & another three light vertical folds to the right CC2771869. See the description above, there are also three vertical folds to the right side & to the bottom left edge a very light ATM ink mark. CC3899093. See the description above. There is a blue ATM ink mark to the bottom right. There are also a number of vertical folds, with the centre ones being fairly heavy & the top edge has some wrinkling. CC5454522. As the description given above, there are also approximately four vertical folds & one near the top of the left edge running at an angle towards the bottom. CC5640129. There are a number of light creases in different directions over three quarter of the note. On the right there is a slightly heavier crease running across the corner, also a light fold to the bottom left corner.
CC5967997. about half of the surface has light creasing, especially the bottom left. There is one light crease vertically in the centre & one to the bottom left corner. CC6944760. Has a light crease vertically through the centre & one horizontally. On the Right bottom corner there is a fold running half way up the note.
CC4689066 . This note has been in circulation for a short time therefore contains surface wrinkles and folds. Some of the corners and along the top contain slightly heavier folds but it is free from any heavy creases. The paper is firm with good corners and edges. It is a clean note completely free from any marks or graffiti. CB6025364, CB6025365. Most of the surface has fine folds & wrinkles. There is also a light crease vertically through the centre & one horizontally, none are excessive & can only be seen by looking across the surface. CB7038362. As description above but the corners are showing some wear, with the top rght corner having a slight nick.
(Sold CB7415831). As described but most of the corners are showing a slight roundness.
CC4047343. As described above but has a very tiny nick out of the top right edge.
CC6944404. About three quarters of the note on the left side has surface wrinkles & light creasing. There is a couple of vertical folds & some short running across the corners, none are excessive. CC7060472. Aa described above but also contains three heavy vertical folds & some of the wrinkles are fairly heavy. (SOLD CD0544576). This note has been taken from circulation so the surface contains wrinkles, mainly to the left side. There are approx. three folds one vertically & one horizontally through the centre and also one at an angle on the left. the corners are good and the edges are sharp. it is free from tears, nicks & graffiti. CB9922297. This
has been taken from circulation, the surface contains numerous fine
wrinkles and folds There are a number of folds & two creases to the
left. The paper is still firm and it is free from any tears, nicks or
graffiti. All the corners are still sharp, the edges are still sharp.
1999 Fine.
(Sold CC3663074).This note has been in circulation for some time. This has resulted in the complete surface containing wrinkles & folds. It also contains a number of creases but none are severe. There is some softness to the paper but it does not contain any graffiti, pin holes or tears. The edges & corners are showing very slight wear.

Extremely Fine
(Sold NB1117331 & 332.) They contain very light handling marks only. other than these marks the notes are near perfect.
Very Fine +
(Sold NB0502846). This has been taken from circulation, so contains general surface wrinkles, fine folds & it is free from heavy creases. The paper is firm, edges & corners are sharp. it is free from tears, nicks and graffiti.
Fine
(Sold NB0198343). This note has been taken from circulation which has left the surface with wrinkles and fine folds. There is also one crease vertically near the center and one across the left top corner. The paper is still on the firm side, clean, free from graffiti & pin holes. The corners are good and edges sharp, except to the top left where the crease has also caused a tiny nick.
NB1541334 Has been in circulation so the surface contains general folds & fine wrinkling. There are also some heavier creases vertically & horizontally. one vertically to the left is the heaviest but is not breaking the note surface. The paper is still nice and firm, without any pin holes or graffiti. The edges and corners are sharp except for the right edge which has a couple of very tiny nicks.

These are the £20 notes that the Northern Bank withdrew because of the robbery at their main branch in Belfast.
