You are buying The Art of Hokusai in Book Illustration by Jack Hillier. University of California Press, Berkeley, CA and Sotheby Parke Bernet, London published the book, copyright 1980. This is a first edition. No other printings are indicated. The interior and cover are in fine condition. There are no tears or marks. There are no names or bookplates. The dust jacket is in very good condition. The top edges show slight wear and browning of the spine. It is now protected by a Mylar sleeve. The book is 9 7/8” X 12 7/8” tall and 288 pages, plus a 3 page bibliography. There are 229 illustrations. Several of the illustrations are in color.  Hokusai illustrated everything from poetry books to "Pillow" books.
