A lovely, hand made Asafo flag ( Asafo frankaa ) from Ghana portraying a nice
combination of colours.
Fairly used and in a great condition.
These flags are visual representations of military organisations
in Fante
communities known as "Asafo".
The Asafo or "companies" each have their own flag name and number.
Every flag has a message /story to tell from the images displayed on the flag.
The Flags were used during the installation of a new Asafo Captain , during
festivals , funerals of a companies member and
during other traditional events.
