- Intensely deep cherry red hexagonal vanadinite crystals are perched all around this matrix piece
- The base matrix has a partial dark coating of manganese oxides over the tan host rock that make a highly attractive contrast with the gemmy red vanadinite crystals
- Every crystal is flawless, and all have good luster!
- The back side of the piece is also covered in tan vanadinite crystals!
- Right now I have this displayed on a 3-prong base. I’ve added little clear cushions to the tops of each prong giving the specimen some protection and stability from being bumped. It is in pristine condition now on both sides, and this base will keep it from being placed too hard on a glass shelf. I find this one to be the most sturdy and protective display for this piece while allowing a variety of good display angles. Turn it around and enjoy another side of the piece too!
- This is a respectable piece for any serious mineral collector! This is one of my favorite vanadinite pieces I have.
