I think it is exceptionally attractive and unique.
Research has turned up nothing.
There is an indention in bottom center which I have the suspicion was a maker's mark, but it is ill-formed - or it could just be an anomaly.
The interior bottom is glazed, but I cannot see if the interior walls are glazed (I've not had water in it, either).
It has a high quality, artistic feel.
The dipped metal is bold. The red color, intense.
The clay has a rough, rustic texture; and I believe this occurs from high temp firing.
I see concentric rings in the interior which tells me it was hand thrown on a wheel(and that might explain the mystery divet on the bottom).
Damage free. Thoroughly clean. 6 inches high.
It reminds me of 80s artsy glamor, more earthy and edgy than chinoiserie trends, designed to feel like an artifact but brimming with style. The red, the metal, the tassel - just scream bougie 80s to me.
I really don't know what it is, how old it is, or where it's from - but it is fine.
