Before his death, Phife had spent the better part of a decade recording tracks for his second album, and about two-thirds of it was finished when DJ Rasta Root stepped in to complete it. He notes, "Down to the mix engineer [Bob Power], the photographers, everybody involved had some connection with Phife."
