Anlässlich des Weltfrauentags, der jährlich am 8. März stattfindet, hat Spanien diese 10 Euro Silbermünze zu Ehren von María de Maeztu ausgegeben. Das Motiv zeigt María de Maeztu als promovierte Ehrendoktorin des Smith College. Auf der linken Seite ist das Venussymbol in Farbe zu sehen, sowie der Nennwert "10 EURO" und die Aufschrift "8-M DIA INTERNACTIONAL DE LA MUJER". Die Rückseite zeigt das Porträt von König Felipe VI. sowie das Ausgabejahr "2023".

Seit mehr als 100 Jahren wird der Internationale Frauentag begangen. An diesem Tag demonstrieren Frauen weltweit für Gleichberechtigung und gegen Diskriminierung. María de Maeztu (1881-1948) war eine bedeutende spanische Pädagogin und Humanistin. Sie leitete über 16 Jahre lang die Residencia de Señoritas, ein von ihr gegründetes Zentrum für Studentinnen. Die Lieferung der Euro-Silbermünze erfolgt im Original-Etui inklusive einem Echtheits-Zertifikat.

On the occasion of the International Women's Day, which takes place annually on March 8th, Spain has issued this 10 Euro silver coin in honor of María de Maeztu. The motive features María de Maeztu as an honorary doctor of Smith College. The Venus symbol in color can be seen on the left side, as well as the denomination "10 EURO" and the inscription "8-M DIA INTERNACTIONAL DE LA MUJER". The reverse shows the portrait of King Felipe VI and the year of issue "2023".

For more than 100 years, International Women's Day has been celebrated. On this day, women around the world demonstrate for equal rights and against discrimination. María de Maeztu (1881-1948) was an important Spanish educator and humanist. For over 16 years, she directed the Residencia de Señoritas, a center for female students that she founded.
