Top Hats for sale come in various types and colours, this Grey Topper is made from an premium "Drab" fur felt (not "Melusine" fur felt) that provides a timeless classic robust and low maintenance topper (Typically "Drab" felts need brushing as opposed additional care for polished hats like Antique / Vintage Silk Plush Top Hats and "Melusine" fur felt hats that have a luxurious high sheen and lustre). It comes with a standard premium leather sweatband and finished with a wool felt "Mourning" hatband.

Traditionally at the Royal Enclosure for many years, "Ascot Grey" was considered the colour associated with Toppers for the Royal Week of Racing in June at Ascot. As in days past "Black" toppers would be more frequent for Everyday-wear, and Evening-wear; So Grey became considered more Day-wear at select events like no other when Toppers were more frequently worn.

Whilst this is a stiffened Top Hat it is not designed or intended as a Safety Riding Hat.

To measure your hat size using a tape measure, follow your head circumference above the ears, approximately 1 inch above your eyebrows and 1/2 inch to 1 inch above the ears depending on how you wish to wear the hat (the brim should not touch your ears!). Then compare it on the table below. There is not always an exact match between cm to inches so the nearest has been selected. If your head measures between two sizes, select the larger size (you can place a small strip of felt behind the hat's sweatband to make the fit more comfortably).
