Aardvarc Racing has been offering a 5-speed conversion kit for the E10 2002 models for over 25 years and a portion of this kit is this Cross-Member bracket assembly.   This kit is designed to support the rear of the 5-speed transmission in an E10 model.  This kit will work for the popular Getrag 245 and 240 models, as well as other transmissions with a single rear mount.  The kit allows for the weight of the back of the transmission to be supported by vertical loads and not be cantilevered off the stock mounts.  Many enthusiasts believe that by installing new mounting tabs on the tunnel, a more solid and longer lasting mounting solution than can be achieved than by installing some of the "horseshoe" shaped brackets that pick up of the stock 2002 transmission mounting tabs.  This kit allows for some flexibility, as the console brackets can be installed to accommodate the transmission you have chosen to install in your 2002.

This kit includes the following parts:

• 2 Console brackets made from paint-lock cold-rolled steel.  Can be bolted or welded to the tunnel.
• 1 Cross bracket made from cold-rolled steel and powdercoated semi-gloss black.
• 8mm bolts (6), locking nuts (4), Clip type U nuts (2), washers (6), and fender washers (4) to assemble and attach this kit to your 2002.
