BIO: Johnny Morris U.S. Billionaire listed on Forbes 400 and CEO of the Bass Pro Shops who is an American businessman, founder, majority owner of the Bass Pro Shops hunting and fishing retail store chain. Mr. Morris founded Bass Pro Shops in 1972 when he began selling fishing equipment in the back of one of his father's Brown Derby liquor stores in Springfield, Missouri. According to Forbes, Morris has a net worth of $4.1 Billion as of December 2016. In September 2017 he completed the $5 billion acquisition of rival retailer Cabela's, nearly doubling the size of Bass Pro Shops. Morris funded and built a 350,000 square-foot national history museum and aquarium in Missouri.
