Welcome to my auction! New Martinsville/Viking probably made this three part covered Candy Dish in the 1940's-50's but could be +/- a half decade. I could not find a definitive date or line #/name. Lovely medium blue, this simple dish is pure elegance. Measures roughly 7" round though it's actually in the shape of a 3 leaf clover, with 3 divided compartments inside. About 5" high including the 3 part open finial. Weighs almost 3 pounds! Damage and issues.... Picture #6 shows a large intact bubble in the glass. Pics 8, 9 & 10 show the lid chips. The couple tiny areas on the base with chips are too small to photograph clearly. Really just pinpricks, or what used to be called flea bits they are mostly on the mold line.

I have been studying old glasswares & the companies that made them for several years now and feel I have barely scratched the surface. While I do occasionally make mistakes, I really try to Properly ID my glass items, and guarantee them to be as I have stated. I gladly accept correct on my auctions, if you can provide proof/information of my error. Please contact me through Ebay if you have any questions at all about my auctions or policies. With rampant viruses and scams, I don't usually open email sent to my personal addy when i don't recognize the sender, so i may not get emails sent there. Send me your email address if you need additional/specific pictures, as ebays mail system can't handle photo files. |
