This accessory from Alisam, is a Small 6 inch indexing plate and pin only. NOT a complete system but offered here for you to decide how to adapt indexing on your lathe. For use on most* any SMALL wood or metal lathe with 1" spindles that can accept a 6" disc above the ways! The plate is a laser engraved, anodized .12" thick ALUMINUM plate with either a center ID of 1.005" or .755". The plate has three concentric rows of indexing holes. The plates have 5°, 6° & 22 1/2° indexing positions. This allows the user to adjust for most any position around the circumference of your work! Secure the plate to the spindle with your lathe's chuck or faceplate, (or jam nut available at most hardware stores). You may also configure your own "outboard" set up of your own design, (see 2nd pic of one of our customers setups for routing flutes on his turnings, AS EXAMPLES ONLY, LATHE OR SET UP NOT INCLUDED)! 3rd pic is an example of a customer's setup on a Shopsmith. 4th is an example of work created with the indexing plate.
