1932 Zeenut (PCL) -"INDIAN BOB" JOHNSON (Portland Beavers) -Future HOF? One of the most under-rated players of the era Bob Johnson has a career WAR of 55.6 and over 2,000 Major League hits. A true major league star for the Philadelphia A's and Red Sox.
The Zeenut series was produced every year by the Collins Candy Co from 1911 to 1938, each set contained somewhere between 48 to nearly 200 cards and includes many players that were both future or former Major League players. The 1932 set is one of my favorite sets in the entire Zeenut series. It ended the string of "Black & White" series and brought back the look of the earlier series (looks very similar to the 1923 set.)
