B KLIBAN CATS beat-up nightgown Master’s Voice spoof youth medium vtg T-shirt
This is a previously-owned, women’s-medium (M / size 7), white, longsleeved sleep T-shirt with a cat listening to a cylinder phonograph player printed on the front. It measures approximately 17½ inches (from underarm seam to underarm seam), about 29 inches from back collar to bottom, and is in poor condition, as there are some marks and discoloration and a small hole along the shoulder seam (as well as on the back) – see picture (B Klibancats brand, 50% cotton / 50% polyester).
Bernard "Hap" Kliban was an influential cartoonist born in New York. In 1962, Kliban became a “Playboy” cartoonist, contributing cartoons until his death. He is best-known for the book “Cat,” a collection of cartoons about cats drawn in Kliban's distinctive style. Since “Cat,” his cartoons have adorned many products including stickers, calendars, mugs, and T-shirts.
