These chips are taken by coconut husks. They are used widely in horticultural applications.

These coconut husk chips forward to market in 500g and 250g bags. Husk chips have a huge water retaining capacity.  They can accumulate up to 7–9 times of water of their weight. The use of husk chips will save water, moisture and time.  Promotes root growth fairly and go on until a healthy plant growth. It has a longer lifetime of 2-3 years supplying enough organic fertilizer to the plant.  Cut down fertilizer application by half, consistent quality and less or no wastage and cheaper than bark. Husk chips are available in weight of 500g and 250g packages.
