D80 - Design, Design of the 80s, presents nearly 150 products from this decade that saw the emergence of the big names in contemporary design.
This 256-page book, with a numbered edition of 2000 copies, is designed and printed in France.
From Ron Arad to Philippe Starck, Marc Newson to Martin Szekely, Gaetano Pesce to Ettore Sottsass more than 60 designers are honored in this luxury edition, classified according to a geographical criterion allowing to contextualize their contribution on the international scene. Archival photos taken from the first issues of Intramuros will pay homage to these emerging talents who would think, create and improve everyday life, supported since 1985 by the magazine's strong prospective vision.
Are also at the rendezvous all the manufacturers and publishers without which the diffusion of this culture D80 would not have taken place: Alessi, Alias, Cappellini, Cassina, De Padova, Driade, Knoll, Memphis, Molteni, Neotu, Vitra etc.
Under the direction of Chantal Hamaide, D80 - Design, Les années 80 brings together texts signed by Christian Simenc, journalist specialist in design. The graphic design of the book was entrusted to Mateo Baronnet of studio B49.
