It is important to know that programming cable use fewer signal pins than a microphone so the pinouts are typically simpler than your microphone cable.
 
No Programming Software is implied or promised with this cable. You need to make sure that the operating system (OS) 32-bit and/or 64-bit you have are supported by the programming software you are going to be using. The older the programming software and radio are the more likely you will need a 32-bit OS to actually communicate with the radio.

Being able to program your rig using a spreadsheet style of user interface, albeit sometimes a bit primitive, can make your life so much easier.
