What is it?
A cover that snaps over the exposed raw silver metal body of the hinge, commonly referred to as the hinge barrel. It isn't just there to complete the colour-coordinated finish: it also stops debris and rain from getting into and damaging the hinge mechanism.
Will it fit my hinge?
Fits the SFS Dynamic hinge range (see Compatible with, below). These hinges are designed for composite, aluminium, timber and, of course, uPVC doors. It may also fit other makes of hinge with a similar design.
Which colour do I need?
Match the cover to the hinge's own finish, or to the door's finish and colour — it really is personal preference. The RAL colour codes SFS use are shown to help you make an informed choice.
Stainless or PVC?
Powder-coated stainless steel is the premium finish: it will not become fragile and brittle, then crack, split and fade. PVC is the economical choice, but is now only available in White or Gold.

Compatible with
SFS Dynamic hinge range — Dynamic 2D, 2D-A and 2D-F. Not for the slimline Dynamic 2D-C or the Dynamic 3D - they take a different cover. May also fit other makes of flag hinge with a matching ≈16 mm centre barrel.
