This book covers the history of Mekhitarists.

Mekhitarist Congregation (Mekhitarists), Armenian religious and cultural organization, Congregation of Benedictine monks of the Armenian Catholic Church. It was founded on September 8, 1701, in Venice by Abbot Mkhitar Sebastatsi. During its activity the Congregation has published many Armenological-philological, religious-scientific works. Was the belief of his first students. "Do not sacrifice the nation to the religion; religion to the nation."

Մխիթարյան միաբանություն (Մխիթարյաններ), հայ կրոնական և մշակութային կազմակերպություն, հայ կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու բենեդիկտյան վանականների միաբանություն։ Հիմնադրվել է 1701 թվականին սեպտեմբերի 8-ին, Վենետիկում՝ վանահայր Մխիթար Սեբաստացու կողմից։ Միաբանությունն իր գործունեության ընթացքում հրատարակել է բազմաթիվ հայագիտական-բանասիրական, կրոնական և գիտական այլ աշխատություններ։ Մխիթարի և նրա առաջին աշակերտների հավատամքն էր. «ազգը չզոհել կրոնին և կրոնը՝ ազգությանը»։
