Adapter material: copper and aluminum
It can be used as macro extension tube with about 5mm movement by turning the helicoid ring to let you closer to the object. There is no electronic element in the adapter, aperture and focusing must be manually control.
Corresponding to different focal length lenses, the effect from adapter is different, please see follows for detail:
Voigtlander 28/2 L / M mount Lens: Closest focusing distance 0.7m, can be reduced to 0.2m
Leica M 35/2 6pcs version: Closest focusing distance 0.7m, can be reduced to 0.25m
Leica M 35 / 2.8 glass version: Closest focusing distance 0.65m, can be reduced to 0.24m
Rollei HFT 40 / 2.8 L39: Closest focusing distance 0.7m, can be reduced to 0.32m
Leica M 50/2 Rigid: Closest focusing distance 1m, can be reduced to 0.5m
Leica M 90/2: Closest focusing distance 1m, can be reduced to 0.68m
Product Description:
Compatible with Leica M lenses and Leica T (Type 701) camera.
Using this adapter, although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm (AE metering), or any other functions are not retained using this adapter. In this case the user will need to meter in "stop-down mode" since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body.
Aperture-priority works on most cameras, however a preset exposure compensation may be required on some cameras.
There is no rangefinder coupling, so you need to do 'lens scale-focus', the built-in light meter still works fine..
And if you use with a T (Type 701) and new models, you will still have control over exact framing and composition.
Firmware needs to be updated to latest version from Leica official website before install.
Settings:
Put red marks of the adapter and lens collar together.
Turn the adapter anticlockwise till the fixative click.
Mostly it will use Manual or AV mode.
Removing:
To remove the adapter you should unpress fixative pin and turn the adapter clockwise.
