I think it’s safe to say that Dog-like pokemon are one of the most popular designs used both in past and current additions to the franchise. This Manectric in particular possesses an ability called Electric Barrier that prevents any damage done to you Bench Pokemon by attacks. Notice that this ability doesn’t specify if Manectric has to be your active , making it a pretty strong asset to any deck back in the day. Though this card debuted in 2009 and is a little dated for today's competitive play, it’s still really cool to see these abilities in older cards and to get a glimpse into how much the game has changed (and stayed the same) throughout the years.
