The figure of Justice is personified by the Grim Reaper, the final impartial dispatcher of mortal justice to all who roam the Earth. He is a symbol of death, but he is not the decision-maker. He does the bidding of the universe, coming for souls only when their time on Earth is finished. He is a blind metaphor of the universal law and order of life and death.

He sits on a throne that is bound by two pillars, similar to the ones seen in The High Priestess and The Hierophant. These columns stand for balance and structure. Draped between them is a tattered purple veil. The color purple signifies compassion, though its tattered state ensures a focus on objectivity. In his right hand, he holds a double-edged scythe. This represents symmetry, logic, and the ideology that all of our actions carry consequences. He holds the scythe upwards to express finality. In his left hand, he grips the chain of an hourglass as the sand inside continues to fall, displaying impartiality and inevitability. An owl sits over his left shoulder, complementing the reaper’s emotional detachment with intuition and wisdom. On the owl’s chest lies a white marking in the shape of a square symbolizing thoughts that are well-ordered and clear. Below his robes, the angel of death reveals one of his bony, white feet, showing the divine repercussions of our actions. Offsetting this, the reaper’s face is hidden in the shadow of his hood as these consequences are often revealed at times unbeknownst to us. The colors of this scene reflect the arguably cold nature of this card’s neutrality.

This sweatshirt is made from equal parts cotton and polyester for a soft and smooth feel while also providing a light, but comforting warmth. It is breathable for indoor wear, but delivers unbeatable heat-insulation for outdoor wear as well!
