A Denby Pottery reform cordial flask. Denby originally made these stoneware flasks c1832, this piece is a reproduction of one of these which Denby made in the 1960s primarily for the American market.

Reform cordial flasks were made in the 19th century to commemorate political figures who were instrumental in the 1832 Reform Act of parliament. William IV despite being personally opposed to the reform was monarch at the time.


 Identifying Marks / Makers Marks: Marked on the base and the reverse as shown in the photographs. Shown page 157 "Denby Stoneware" by Graham and Alva Key, the original antique flasks are shown on page 17 of the reference book "Denby Pottery 1809-1997 by Irene and Gordon Hopwood.
Age / date of manufacture:Manufactured in the 1960's and 70's.
Size: Measures 7 1/4" (18.5 cm) tall.
Condition: In excellent undamaged condition.
