Our TMT-2880R5 is a professional non-contact infrared belt tension meter with laser support for testing the tension and frequency of drive belts, V-belts, toothed belts, power belts, etc. The optimal service life of a belt depends on the correct belt tension and optimal alignment on the discs.

The measurement is very easy. The measuring sensor is held 3-20mm above the stationary belt while it is e.g. tapped with the finger to make it vibrate. The laser-assisted infrared system uses this vibration to calculate the natural frequency of the belt or its belt tension. The output is in Newtons (N) or lbf. Belts up to a maximum total weight of 9.99 kg and a maximum length of 99.99 m can be measured.

With the additional external professional probe, in contrast to many "cheap devices with internal probe", measurements are also possible in hard-to-reach places, e.g. behind covers and panels.
The TMT-2880R5 is a compact hand-held measuring device: The shape, dimensions and weight of the device were developed under ergonomic aspects for professional use and all functions can be selected with just one hand at the push of a button. In this way, one hand is always free when measuring. The measuring device is delivered fully operational and calibrated!
